Reading to class at school

Julia and/or her teachers take pictures with Julia's iPad that we put in a daily journal on the iPad and use for conversation.  Here are two pictures from two days ago.  I love the bottom one of Julia reading to her class -- a poem about a cat, she said -- and how the other kids are listening.  Makes my heart feel good.

Julia gets style!

After six years of living with me, Julia decided this morning that a purple scarf was a necessary accessory.

Us.  Walking the streets close to Chinatown and on the plane.

Pictures from last week's wedding.  Squeaker and Lisa.  Julia took a lot of these pictures.  I cropped but she captured some pretty good faces.

Cheshire and Julia last Sunday in Cheshire and Chris' apartment.  Yeah, a little grainy.  Not a lot of lights but oh, my sweet girls.

While we were on the east coast Tia Fuller had a concert in Madison.  She had been working on music with middle and high school students all week.  Grammar school kids were invited to draw picture to project while Tia Fuller performed.  Julia's dinosaurs was one of ten pictures chosen to represent Randall School.  I wish we could have seen the concert so that Julia could have seen her dinosaurs projected on a large screen.

We walked in the UW Arboretum on Sunday afternoon, collecting red leaves and dropped feathers.  It is fall but we are still in short sleeved shirts.  These are such lovely, blessed days.
